U13 thriller against Diss

Diss U13s v Garboldisham U13s Monday 1 June 2015

Garboldisham U13s 110 for 4, Diss U13s 111 for 6

On a miserable Monday evening, the U13s headed to Burston to play Diss U13s. Garby batted first and got off to a great start thanks to Bailey Farrant and Arthur Johnson who both had to retire after reaching 30. George Self and Ethan Everson-Germany came into bat and continued with some good running to add some extra runs before unfortunately losing their wickets. James Davey and Max Champion finished off the innings bringing the team to 110 for 4 off their 6 overs, a great effort considering the rain and wind! Diss’ innings got off to a lively start with their openers clocking up the runs, however with some great keeping from Megan Grant and a top wicket from Jess Davey, Garboldisham got the break through. Everyone bowled really well and kept the fielding tight with some great stops from James in the covers and Arthur behind the keeper. Diss needed 4 to win off the final over and it got very tense at the end! Bailey bowled really tightly, however unfortunately Diss scored the 1 run they needed off the final ball. It was a great team performance from Garboldisham who only just lost. Keep it up U13s, great stuff!
